My new history blog on the story of the worldly neglected India and Im proud to be an Indian .It explores the wonders of this amazing country that took part in the greatest battle of world war,the same Indians who are now at the global forefront and were the colony of the British. We can achieve anything including sky and beyond.salaam namaste and Jai hind.

Welcome to my blog in this I will give insights on our worldly courageous feats of us Indians a then British colony in the 18th century during the outbreak of world war 2,a series of war between the allied powers(Great Britain, France US)  and the axis  power(Japan, Italy ,Germany). Lets take a look at the battles India has in her name .My blog explores only two of the wars ,Battle of Durnkirk and the Japanese retreat by the famous India china Burma theater.

As mentioned before ww2 were a series of warbetween the allied powers(Great Britain, France US)  and the axis  power(Japan, Italy ,Germany).

It’s not that only these above  given countries fought the wars but alongside the allies there was even India ,a then colony of Britain that  fought against Germany and the axis power. Not every textbook talks about  India’s  contribution however certain  articles are written about my topic which I am going to present to you in the form of a blog . Above is the picture of soldiers of k6.

Four companies – 22, 25, 29 and 32 that came from India as part of the Royal Indian Army Service Corps fought with the BEF(British Expeditionary Force)  were stationed and were designated as Force K-6 (In the picture shown above),helped in evacuation of Allied forces at Dunkirk  .

This picture shows a military award known as the Indian Distinguished Service Medal, which was the third-highest medal awarded to Indian forces after the Victoria Cross and the Indian Order of Merit. It Was given for exemplarity courage to Indian soldiers one of them was junior officer Jemadar Maula Dad Khan, a VCO (Viceroy’s Commissioned Officer).

The citation on this honour read: “On 24 May 1940 when approaching Dunkirk, Jemadar Maula Dad Khan showed magnificent courage, coolness and decision. When his troop was shelled from the ground and bombed from the air by the enemy he promptly reorganized his men and animals, got them off the road and under cover under extremely difficult conditions. It was due to this initiative and the confidence he inspired that it was possible to extricate his troop without loss in men or animals.

After members of K-6 were evacuated from Dunkirk with the rest of the BEF, they were stationed in Cornwall before being moved on to various places in Wales. A number of the men died in flu epidemics and are buried in Breton Cemetery. The men of K-6 were stationed in Britain till 1942, after which they were deployed to various theatres of the Second World War,one such being the famous India China and Burma theater

This is the  map of the India China and Burma  theater which was one of the United States military’s operations in China, parts of south-east India.

 – especially parts of Assam, Manipur and Bengal -( were the chief bases for the supply operations into Burma and China). Indian soldiers fighting for the British Indian Army , contributed to the Japanese retreat and not by the British as mentioned in world history books .For long world history books gives importance to the britishers as a result twisting and turning stories whist hiding India’s efforts.  We are  not given credit for Japans retreat and nowhere in our book it is mentioned  the sacrifice our people have east Asia, Burma and eastern India.

The Indian force was instrumental in helping the Bruisers  against to evacuate Allied troops of England and Belgium  and to save them from Nazi Germany ,when Germany attacked on Dunkirk beach in France as a retaliation of war on Germany by Britain and France  and imposition of  an economic blockade.
Due to India’s strategic location and massive manpower the Indian army was used  to fight the battle. In the words of Field Marshal Sir Claude Auchinleck, the British “couldn’t have come through both wars [World War I and II] if they hadn’t had the Indian Army”. More than 2.5 million India troops were battling Axis forces around the globe. Over 87,000 Indian soldiers died in the Second World War.Thus india can achieve anything ,sky is not the limit.

conclusion

For long world history books gives importance to the britsishers as a result twisting and turning stories whist hiding indies efforts.  We are  not given credit for Japans retreat and nowhere in our book it is mentioned  the sacrifice our people have made only the britishers are favoured The contribution India made towards  the victory of the allies  her contribution is forgotten in vain but I promise  you my readers that you will be a proud Indian and no matter what we know in our hearts that we are not worthless even a movie like Dunkirk doesn’t highlight our capabilities . “At the ends world should congratulate us and say Thank you for the help fellas”Im proud to be an Indian

Sasriyakal namaste salaam and Jai Hind and thank you

Bharat mata ki jai
